The
College prepares students to become sanitary health inspectors,
by giving the proper education and training facility with
the co-operation of the district health department and municipal
authorities. It is possible for students to be exposed for
their practical training in the urban, semi-urban and rural
areas under medical inspectors, conservancy supervisor,
malaria inspectors. |

Objectives:
| 1 |
To
develop in the students an aptitude in the concerned field
and to provide the necessary knowledge and skill to give
comprehensive paramedical care to patients in all types
of illness. |
| 2 |
To develop
skills in recognizing and interpreting intelligently the
physical, mental and emotional manifestations by illness
and be able to plan individual care to patients based on
their unique needs. |
| 3 |
To help
the students work in mutual co-operation with medical and
paramedical personnel and participate in various programmes
for prevention of diseases and the promotion of health in
the community. |

To develop
an appreciation of ethical and moral principles involved
in the practice of paramedical sciences. |
| 5 |
To help
the students practice and teach others the principles of
healthy living. |
| 6 |
To prepare
the students to be inter-dependent in their field of work
& to become gradually independent and self supporting
financially after their training period. |

To develop
the individual to be sensitive to the rights of others and
conscious of her/ his duties and responsibilities to her
/his own profession, fellowmen, and the country. |

To fulfill the manpower
needs of health services.

candidates with good conduct and sound health between the
age of 17 to 35 years are eligible. |

Physical
fitness must be ensured by certification from a registered
medical practitioner.

Syllabus:
Theory
& Practical |
| English, Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, Anatomy Physiology, (includes Practical) Concepts
in Community Health, Nutrition & Health, Basic Epidemiology,
MCH and Family Planning, First Aid. |
