The
college prepares the students for "a" Grade Diploma
in Medical Laboratory Technology conducted by Karnataka
State Government Para Medical Board. The Course develops
an aptitude in the students to the concerned field and provides
the necessary knowledge and skills to give comprehensive
paramedical care to patients in all types of illness. This
will help to fulfill the manpower needs of diagnostic health
services. |
Objectives:

To
develop in the students an aptitude in the concerned field
and to provide the necessary knowledge and skill to give
comprehensive paramedical care to patients in all types
of illness. |

To develop
skills in recognizing and interpreting intelligently the
physical, mental and emotional manifestations by illness
and be able to plan individual care to patients based on
their unique needs. |

To help
the students work in mutual co-operation with medical and
paramedical personnel and participate in various programmes
for prevention of diseases and the promotion of health in
the community. |

To develop
an appreciation of ethical and moral principles involved
in the practice of paramedical sciences. |

To help
the students practice and teach others the principles of
healthy living. |
| 6 |
To prepare
the students to be inter-dependent in their field of work
& to become gradually independent and self supporting
financially after their training period. |

To develop
the individual to be sensitive to the rights of others and
conscious of her/ his duties and responsibilities to her
/his own profession, fellowmen, and the country. |

candidates with good conduct and sound health between the
age of 17 to 35 years are eligible. |

medical practitioner. |
