The Department of Chemistry offers
instruction in three different specializations, namely, Inorganic,
Physical and Organic Chemistry and many of them pursuing research
work in industries, national institutes and in Universities in
India and Abroad.

The major areas of research include structural studies, reaction
kinetics, theoretical chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, electrochemistry
including corrosion, soil-water chemistry, peptide chemistry and
medicinal chemistry.
Eligibility :
Pass in 12th Standard / Equivalent with Chemistry, Biology, Zoology,
Botany, Sericulture and Environment Science.
Duration :
Three academic years (Six Semesters).
