Eligibility
for Admission :
Any graduate of Bangalore University
or any other University recognised by the Bangalore University
as equivalent thereto who is physically fit and satisfies any
of the following conditionswill bw eligible for admission to B.P.Ed.
Degree Course.

Graduate
in Physical Education, i.e.,B.P.E of three year duration
with 45% marks. |

or |
Graduate
with atleast 40% marks,having represented State / University
/ Sports / Games /Athletics / as per the list of sports
of A.I.U. |
| or |
Graduate
with atleast 40% marks,who has secured 1rst , 2nd or 3 rd
position in University Inter -Collegiate sports / games
tournaments or possessing NCC 'C' certificate or passed
basic course in adventure sports. |
| or |
Graduate
with atleast 45% having participated in inter-collegiate
/ Inter District / Divisional Level Sports /Games tournament. |
| or |
Graduate
with at least 45% marks and one year training Programme
in sports science , sports management ,sports coaching ,yoga,
Olympic education ,sports journalism etc. |
| Physical
fitness of the candidate is assessed by administering National
Physical Fitness Program Tests of India. |

Candidates
seeking admission to B.P.Ed., Degree course should be below
26 years of age,28 years for SC, ST and Category - 1, as
on 1rst July of the year of admission.The age is relaxable
upto 30 years for outstanding sports persons.Outstanding
sports person means a candidate who has participated in
recognized inter-university /interstate/international sports
or games competions.However in case of in-service candidates
(trained Physical Education Teachers and coaches)the age
is relaxed upto 35 years, subject to condition that,they
are medically fit.All candidates shall produce a medical
fitness certificate issued by a medical officer of not less
than the rank of district Surgeon along with the application. |

shall be reservation seats for SC/ST/Cat-1/ as per the rules
of the Karnataka State Government. |
