of Medical Sciences and Technology, Bangalore on prescribed
payment in Cash / M.O /D.D. with request for an application
from and self addressed in Rs. 10/- stamped envelope size
"9"x"4". |
Mode of Selection
Each application will be scrutinized
by the selection committee and the student’s performance
will be evaluated in the qualifying examination. Provisionally
selected candidates will be called for the interview.
The date and time of interview will
be intimated to the candidates by post. At the time of interview
the candidates are required to appear for an entrance test based
on general knowledge and professional aptitude. The selection
committee’s decision is final and binding on the candidate.
No further correspondence will be entertained regarding the selection
criteria. Preference will be given to candidates who have a higher
qualification than that prescribed.

Basic Requirements
Our admission process is user-friendly
and personalized for student seeking admission in undergraduate,
Post-graduate and Diploma courses. Classes begin during July/Sept
of every year. Admissions are open till seats exist and enrollment
is continuous throughout the year. This advance enrollment facility
helps students avoid last minute rush due to limited numbers of
seats.
Pay Your
Admission / Enrollment Fees / Reservation amount
Students applying for the course
in advance are supposed to fill in the Application Form, and enclose
a photocopy of their testimonials as applicable, in part A, part
B & part C . Once the application form is filled up, please
sent it to our Administrative Office with a enrollment fees of
Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) which will be adjusted
towards fees after the seat is confirmed. The administrative office
will confirm your course of preference and will notify you with
a provisional admission letter. Students applying for a course
in the current session will have to send/ hand over in person
their filled up application form with 2 photocopies of all original
testimonials as applicable in Part A, Part B of last studied.

Foreign National / N.R.I. Students
If you have studied in school / college outside India, you should
follow the same procedures as candidates studied in a school /
college of India. There are however, a few variations specific
to students applying from abroad.
Students applying for the courses in advance are supposed to fill
in the Application Form and enclose a photocopy of their testimonials
as applicable, in Part -A, Part -B and Part -C. Once the application
form is filled up, please send it to our Administrative Office
with an enrollment fees of US$500/- (US Dollars five hundred only).
The Administrative office will confirm your courses of preference
and will notify you with a Provisional Admission Letter.
Students whose medium of instruction at the qualifying examination
was not English should do an Intensive Courses in English conducted
by the Bangalore University during the course of their study.
The course is of 6 months duration.
Students applying for a course in the current session will have
to send / hand over in person their filled up application form
with photocopies of all original testimonials as applicable, in
Part-A, Part -B and Part -C.
They have to pay the admission amount as per the course along
with the College Deposit. Uniform charges and Hostel Deposit.
Hostel charges are levied from the first month of the academic
year for whomever it is applicable.

General Eligibility for addmission to M.Sc., Courses
Graduates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all subject
and 50% of marks in the cognate subject(subject studied at the
Bachelor's Degree level and and in which the candidate wants to
study at Master 's degree level) in the qualifying University
examination are eligible to apply.
For courses at the University for which there are no cognate(same)
subjects at the Bachelor's Degree Course level, or in case of
Courses for which students who have not studied a cognate subject
in the qualifying course, marks secured in the optional subjects
in the Bachelor's Degree examination are considered.
Remission : A remission of 10% in
minimum marks required for eligibility to apply for admission
to any Course offered in the University is allowed in the case
of SC/ST Category I candidates only, provided of marks are not
available in these categories.
Fees
Information regarding
the fee structure can be availed at the office. Once advance /
fees paid cannot be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
Clinical fee, transportation fee, hostel deposit, uniform, immunization,
Kannada and English coaching classes, first aid, laboratory fees
ect., are charged extra. The reservation of seat is liable to
be cancelled on grounds of ineligibility or due to Govt. / University
rules and regulations etc. that may be framed from time to time.
If any student voluntarily withdraws or is dismissed after admission
/ before completion of the course, the student should remit the
fee for the entire course.
COLLEGE
The students have
to pay 50% of the Tuition fees at the time of admission, 25% before
December 15 and remaining 25% before february 15. Late fee of
Rs. 10 per Rs. 1000 per day will be collected after the last
date of payment.

Course
Outlines and Medium of Instruction
The syllabi
and the course outline for all the course is followed as per the
guidelines laid down by the Directorate of Medical Education /
Government of Karnataka / University / Para Medical Board. Any
change is Syllabus which may be brought in will be as per instructions
of the Board / University. The Medium of instructions is in English.
Class room and Clinical Lectures are given by qualified Lectures,
Clinical Instructions and Visiting Doctors. Topics will be dealt
by Specialists in the respective field. During the training period
students are assigned Hospital duties for their Clinical Experience
in the various Departments such as Medical, Surgical, Community,
Orthopedic and Family Welfare Works etc.
Internship
The Physiotherapy
Students have to undergo a six months / one year compulsory internship
in rotation to help bridge the gap between the professional and
academic perspectives gained during the course.
Uniforms
All the students
are required to wear the uniform prescribed and provided by the
Institution. The cost of the uniform is borne by the student.
It is important for the budding Professionals to have a neat and
tidy appearance.

Scholarship
The merit Scholarship
, Govt. of India Scholarship , Concerned State Government Scholarships
and State Departments (Sc , ST etc ) are also available for eligible
students.
Experience
in Rural Area.
This training in
Rural Health Community is expected to enable the students to explore
and understand the rural folk’s need and problems as part
of the Country’s Rural Health Programme and gain experience
in Community, Psychiatry and General Health Care.
Students
Health Programme
A Comprehensive Health
Programme is available to all Students. The preventive health
programmes include Physical Examination, Routine Laboratory Test
and Immunizations against Hbs, Ag. Cholera, Typhoid & Chicken
Pox to maintain their health. Students are required to undergo
a complete checkup on admission and every year thereafter. Each
student in the college is entitled to medical consultation at
our authorized medical center which provides 24 hours health care
service. An understanding with the authorized hospital provides
for emergency treatment also.
Attendance
A student will not
be permitted to attend the examination if his / her attendance
in both theory and practical is less than 85% of the working days.
The percentage of the theory & practical attendance, general
conduct of the students and the progress in the practical classes
are all taken into consideration for the examination.
Working
Hours
Working hours are
up to a maximum of 36 hours per week from
Monday to Saturday.
Internal
Assessment
Each subject will
have an internal / sessional assessment mark. The internal / sessional
mark in each subject will be based on monthly assignments / Trimester
Examination, personal grooming, conduct, attendance and professional
attitudes.
Examination
and Certificate
For Degree/Diploma
Classes, the College conducts three internal Examinations in every
academic year. The Annual Examination is conducted by the Bangalore
University / Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The rules
for promotions to the next higher classes are framed by the University.
The examinations known as "Mid-Session" and "Preparatory"
examinations are conducted in the months of October and February
respectively. The performance of the students in the examinations
and their attendance will be intimated to their parents / guardians
regularly. For PG Students the internals will be conducted in
every semester. The result of internal Examination and the day-to-day
performance will be strictly taken into account for Annual Examination
internal assessment marks. There will be Annual Public Examination
held by the Director of Medical Education / University / Board
of Examinations of Government of Karnataka every year. The institute
conducts Trimester / Model Examination prior to the Public Examination
and only those who pass in the Trimester / Model Examination will
be allowed to sit for the Annual Examination. The minimum marks
required to pass any Theory / Practical is 50% or as required
by the Board / University.
Vacation
& Holiday
Students are eligible
for 30 days leave per annum. This is arranged
according to the convenience of the College and the Hospital.

are entitled to avail ten days sick leave per annum on medical
grounds which has to be certified by a registered Allopathic
Medical Practitioner authorized by the Institution / Govt.

Sick
Leave :
Sick Leave can not
be accumulated. No other leave is entitled. If a students has
availed more than the above days, he/she is deemed to have discontinued
studies during the present academic year and will be admitted
to the next Academic year as a new Candidate. No Break-up Leave
for Annual Vacation is allowed. If any student overshoots the
prescribed leave, he/she should submit an allopathic Government
Hospital Doctor’s Certificate only.
Guest Lecture & Industrial Visits :
Guest lectures by eminent personalities from corporate sectors,
hospitals are organized for every module. Industrial, hospital
Visits for studying day to day affairs are arranged regularly
and are compulsory.
